Malcolm W. McKinnon, Jr. ‘58
Mac
died at his home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida on November 25, 2009.
He
was born in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from New Trier High School in
Illinois. At Princeton he was an
Economics major and was an active member of Cannon Club, of which he was
Secretary-Treasurer. Mac was also on the
Freshman and Varsity Fencing Teams and served on the Executive Committee of the
Campus Fund Drive for two years. Among
his roommates were Doug Weil, Don Sessions and Chris Clutz.
After
graduation Mac spent 24 years with the Real Estate Department of Walgreen Co.
and to quote from our 10th Reunion Yearbook, "trying to make sure
that everyone has a Walgreen Drug Store conveniently at hand.” He later worked for SuperX Drugs as Real
Estate Manager for 12 years and after that, two years for Kroger Company before
he retired in 1997.
To
Karen, his wife of 31 years, to his daughters, Sarah McKinnon and Justine
Smith, and to his granddaughter, Jordan McKinnon, the Class extends its deepest
sympathy.
